Influencing Others

Course Overview:
A one, two or three day programme that gives participants the opportunity to experiment with and understand how different influencing styles work, and to explore effective working relationships through an increased understanding of their own and others’ behaviours.

Course Benefits:
Participants will learn about, and be able to use on a daily basis, different influencing styles -particularly when involved in work related projects. Participants will also gain a greater understanding of their own and others’ behaviours so that they can utilise influencing techniques more appropriately leading to greater achievement of successful work outcomes and a better satisfaction from their interaction with work colleagues.

Delivery Methods:
Tutor led, workshops, small group work, role play and simulations.

Reports and Writing Skills

Course Overview:
A one day programme giving participants the opportunity to understand the basic skills required for effective written communications whether emails, letters, notes or reports.

Course Benefits:
This programme will equip participants with the skills needed for every day planning, structuring, writing, editing and presenting of written communications.

Delivery Methods:
Tutor led, workshops, small group work, individual work: where possible using delegate workplace examples.

Negotiation Skills

Course Overview:
A one day course that provides participants with the understanding of different negotiation techniques for use on a daily basis and explores how to apply them at work, in order to achieve successful outcomes for all involved.

Course Benefits:
To provide participants with the skills to negotiate in order to avoid conflict, enable and facilitate the decision making process and to reach a ‘win / win’ outcome with others.

Delivery Methods:
Tutor led, group and individual workshops, 1 to 1 discussions and exercises.

Leadership Development

Course Overview:
A two or three day programme for leaders, managers and supervisors giving participants the opportunity to explore and use a range of leadership and motivational techniques. Participants will be able to discover which style of leadership is appropriate in varying situations, and also how to employ motivational techniques in order to enthuse and encourage both individuals and teams to achieve greater success.

Course Benefits:
An understanding and successful application of appropriate leadership and motivational tools and techniques leads to increased morale, job satisfaction and business performance. There is no single leadership style or motivational technique that works for all situations or for all people, and so participants will learn which is most appropriate for which situations.

Tutor led, lots of group work and practical activities, workshops and discussions.

Team Working Skills

Course Overview:
A one, two or three day programme for those working in work based teams. Participants will: explore what key elements make up world class teams; draw up their own ‘ground rules for effective team working’ and be given opportunities to immediately put these into practice through a series of exercises and simulations; investigate the different types of behaviour that team members display; examine why different people within teams approach the same task so differently; and develop their feedback and reviewing skills.

Course Benefits:
An understanding of how effective work teams function and the immediate opportunity to put learning into practice will lead to a more successfully functioning team. This will increase motivation, job satisfaction and ultimately productivity.
